Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the start of the Berlin Process Summit, emphasized the differences between member and non-member countries of the European Union.

According to him, the economic promises of the Berlin Process have not been realized.

"All of us strongly believe in the need for a common roof, even a common trench in these trying times.

A war on the doorstep of Europe, which shows that the world is changing faster. An attack in Israel has forced a democratic nation to defend itself.

One question I think about is how we are reacting to this scene unfolding in front of our children. The biggest political challenge is the painful division between EU members and non-members. Living without the EU is not easy.

I want to raise some questions. Can we afford these separations? In 2014, the leaders of the Western Balkans met in Berlin, marked a turning point.

The economic promises of the Berlin Process have not been realized, especially when compared to the transformative mindset it has brought. Merkel emphasized this at the meeting in Poland. She said that democracy without infrastructure cannot be realized.

We appreciate Von der Layen's efforts. This is the first bold step after the frustrating repetitions and we are now at the point where we discuss the economy. While efforts to remove tariffs, the process has been hampered by long-running disputes between several countries in the region. Our EU neighbors have received over 4,500 euros per capita, while our countries receive 38 euros per capita. This division has deepened our division in the same house of Europe.

In this rapidly evolving landscape, we must ensure a harmonious existence of Europe. Let's deal with these divisions before Europe is divided".
