The Albanian Parliament voted this Thursday, with 110 votes in favor of the draft law for Albania's accession to the Peace Board, where socialists and democrats united, despite the debates and tensions that accompanied the plenary session.

Opposition representatives repeatedly stated that they were in principle in favor of the Peace Board, but were against the name of Prime Minister Edi Rama in the agreement. For this reason, MP Gazment Bardhi submitted 3 amendments, which were defeated with 78 votes in favor.

Let us recall that the Council of Ministers approved on Wednesday the draft law for Albania's accession to the Peace Board following the invitation of US President Donald Trump.

US President Donald Trump announced earlier this month plans to create a Peace Board to oversee the implementation of a 20-point plan for Gaza, an initiative aimed at leading to peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

But it won't stop at this conflict.

The Peace Board was officially established today in Davos.

Many Western countries have so far refused to participate in this board.
