Prime Minister Edi Rama from the National Assembly for the Albanian Language spoke about the dangers posed to our language.
The head of the government said that today we live in the conditions of a pressure on the Albanian language, which comes as a result of social networks.
" This is a thank you that is related to a feeling of surprise that I personally experienced from the level of the competition and from the fact that seeing those students compete in this not easy subject, when rather they live in the conditions of a pressure against the Albanian language. This as a result of social networks. I tell you that I thought there was still hope for the Albanian language to survive the barbarism of this century that threatens languages as a whole and the very roots of humanity in general.
In 1972, when I was in the second grade, Eqerem Çabej published an essay about the Albanian language. In that essay, Cabej writes "Albanian has had many names, but the language is 1. There are thoughts that it came from the name Albanian, the name from the bird since the time of Skenderbeu".
Today, this Assembly of the Albanian Language is meaningful for several important reasons, on the 116th anniversary of the approval of the alphabet. It is a moment when Albanian actually becomes through this special date, a common belonging for all of us ", said Rama.
