Albania has contracted a British company to be represented in The Hague vis-.-Vis Greece on the maritime border issue. The news was given by Artur Meçollari, former member of the negotiating group for the maritime border in the show 'Today', in Euroneës Albania.

The ex-military showed that the London company 'Omnia Strategy' contracted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in July 2021, has concluded that Albania is in danger of losing the straight baseline, which means lost sea area.

This is because, according to him, Albania should not have gone unconditionally to Greece in an international court.

"What will be produced after the contract is a secret, as they will provide techniques and tactics that we will use in court. This company has also reached a conclusion, that we are in a hurry to decide to go to The Hague without conditions. They should have set conditions. "We only had to bring issues that we had not solved", said Meçollari.

'Omnia Strategy' is run by Cherie Blair, the wife of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, currently a free adviser to Prime Minister Edi Rama.

This is not the first time that the Albanian government enters into a contract with this company, as the company Omnia Strategy was Albania's lawyer also on the issue of arbitration against Rapiscan.

About two years ago, Albania and Greece decided to turn to international justice to resolve the maritime border issue between the two countries on the basis of expertise and international maritime law.
