Prime Minister Edi Rama and Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi visited the Military Cyber ​​Security Unit, the most important innovation for digital defense and which will play a key role against cyber threats and the protection of our information systems.

The unit will have the support of the United States of America and will function thanks to the specialized expertise of professionals and advanced technology.

One of the employees of this unit explained to the head of the government that the center is monitored 24 hours, as it uses modern technology.

"The real-time system provides alerts, which may have malicious intent on the systems. In the first hours we have seen a possible attempt, an unknown application, directed at a device, which is located at the Armed Forces Academy and which is a very critical device for the systems of the Armed Forces. As the monitoring team, we do the basic analysis of every event that is generated by the platform and from the basic analysis we can judge all the information flow that there has been from the attempts of actors that may be malicious towards our devices, we see that some of of them have been categorized by this platform as malicious", he said.

During his speech, Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi said that thanks to Albania's participation in international cyber security structures, the possibility of training Albanian experts in this field is very great.
