The Central Election Commission has received 21,000 citizen signatures regarding the " Diaspora Vote " and " Opening of Electoral Lists ".

This news was made known by the " Albania Bashke " Movement, who were also the initiators of this initiative.

Through a post on social networks, the members of the " United Albania " movement emphasize that now that the CEC approved the decision, it is up to the Parliament to consider this draft law and approve the will of the Albanians who have expressed themselves in favor of this initiative.

"After months of efforts, today we scored a special victory! The Central Election Commission approved the decision for the registration of the legislative initiative and the acceptance of 21,000 citizen signatures, for the 'Diaspora Vote' & 'Opening of Electoral Lists'. Now, it is up to the Albanian parliament to overcome the lack of political will, and to approve the will of the 21,000 Albanian citizens/voters who have expressed themselves in favor of this initiative", it is written in the post of the "Albania Becomes" Movement.

On June 6 of this year, the "Albania Becomes" movement submitted to the Central Election Commission, over 20,000 citizens' signatures for the vote of the Diaspora.
