The municipal council of Himara is constituted, the mayor is elected
Himara Municipal Council

With 13 votes, Dhimitër Kapaj, of the SP, was elected the chairman of the municipal council of Himara.

There were two candidates in the race for this post.

Out of 21 councilors, Dhimitër Kapaj got 13 votes while Afrovita Dhimojani got 8 votes.

The meeting of the municipal council of Himara started with a few minutes. The reason was the absence of Fredi Beleri, the elected mayor of this municipality on May 14, who is not present today to take the oath as mayor, after the GJKKO yesterday rejected his request to release him from the prison where he has been since May 12.

Alongside the Greek ambassador present during the constitution were Fredi Beleri's family members, his son and his wife, while Beleri's daughter and brother were also present.
