Jorgo Goro and Fredi Beleri

The decision of the special court not to release him to take the oath does not remove the mandate of the mayor Fredi Beleri, but keeps the situation suspended and the current mayor of this municipality, Jorgo Goro, in office.

The legal provisions require as a condition for the removal of Fredi Beler's mandate a final decision by the court, either guilt or innocence.

Until then, the composition of the new municipal council can be constituted in Himari, but not the mayor. The duty of the mayor will be exercised by the outgoing mayor, Jorgo Goro, with more limited powers.

Beler's mandate is not interrupted even if he is not sworn within three months, since in this case it is not his voluntary choice not to perform this act, but the impossibility of the court decisions.

This means that there are two ways to terminate his mandate. The first through a final decision by the courts and the second way dismissal by the Government. The third less likely path is Beler's own resignation.
