The Special Court and the Court of Durrës had declared incompetence for the request of Fredi Beler, who requests permission to be sworn in as the mayor of Himara.

The Court of Durrës had referred the case to the Supreme Court for consideration, and the latter decided to refer it to the GJKKO.

On June 26, GJKKO rejected Beler's request for permission to take the oath.

Beleri presented permission to 3 institutions in the SPAK, the Directorate of Prisons and the GJKKO to be released from detention for the ceremony of taking office in the City Council on Tuesday, June 27 at 11.00. GJKKO clarified that permits are only given in cases of death, marriage or exams.
