A heated debate took place yesterday evening in the studio of the Top Story show on Top Channel , where the communications director of the Democratic Party, Alfred Lela , clashed with moderator Grida Duma , leading to his departure from the studio.

The clash began when Duma asked Lela why the Democratic Party deputies did not side with the residents of the building that burned down in Tirana.

The parties exchanged strong retorts that then degraded into personal tones and the debate deviated into other directions when the analyst told the moderator not to point the finger, or else " she should find a place to put it ."

This brought an immediate reaction from moderator Duma, who asked him to leave the studio for lack of ethics.

Regarding this event, VoxNews requested a reaction from the well-known moderator, Blendi Fevziu, who has expressed a critical stance towards the behavior of political representatives in the media.

According to Fevziu , the director of communications at the Democratic Party, Alfred Lela, should have avoided the conflict.
Fevziu adds that political representatives show a kind of arrogance towards journalists, whether in the studio or in the field. This is intolerable, arrogant and worrying.

Blendi Fevziu's reaction to VoxNews : I think that the moderator cannot be provoked or insulted on the show. A politician has the choice to come or not to a political debate or a debate on any show. But at the moment he makes this choice, he must respect the rules of the debate. For some time now, political representatives have been showing a kind of arrogance towards journalists, whether in the studio or in the field. This is intolerable, arrogant and disturbing. Journalists do their job and this must be respected, just as the work of politicians is respected. The idea that journalists should behave as they think or should obey their whims is not wrong, but scandalous. Unfortunately, in recent years this has been happening. Politicians are more arrogant and with a pronounced lack of respect for journalists. I have been, am and will remain convinced that politicians are neither superior, nor more prepared, nor masters of the media. Everyone does their job and only if it functions this way has value. Therefore, in the case in question, from what I have seen, I am convinced that Lela should have avoided the conflict.
