The chairman of the parliamentary group of the SP, Taulant Balla, in a statement for journalists, was asked about the accusations leveled against the former minister Arben Ahmetaj as being involved in the incinerator affair.
Balla said that they do not comment on cases that are under investigation, while he asked the media to respect the independence of the prosecution.
The Assembly has given its opinion to the Special Committee. The position was given to SPAK. It is not binding but it is an opinion. The media must respect the independence of the prosecution. Justice will go to the end of this matter.
Any interference from our side is not good for independence. I think we should let justice take its course. The power of the media is not unlimited. We do not comment on matters that are under investigation. When a charge is filed, I take the prosecution to the court to investigate. This should be the standard ,' said Balla.
We remind you that the two prosecutors of the incinerators file violated the law three times by concealing data that could incriminate former minister Arben Ahmetaj in the case of incinerators.
In the criminal report presented to SPAK by the journalist Adriatik Doçi, all the violations are listed which, together with the violations of the law by the former minister Ahmetaj, amount to a total of many years of imprisonment that all three risk.
The first criminal offense they have committed is that of abuse of duty in collaboration, provided for in articles 25 yesterday 248 of the criminal code. The two prosecutors Klodian Braho and Ened Nakuçi have had facts showing that Klodian Zoto, wanted by SPAK, had made hotel payments for the trips of former minister Arben Ahmetaj.
They did not take these facts into account by taking the former Minister of Environment Lefter Koka and the managers of the incinerator company as defendants in the case of incinerators, but not the former minister Ahmetaj.
