MP Albana Vokshi said today in Parliament that Minister Toni Gogu has deceived the public regarding the IBAR issue.
During her speech, Vokshi emphasized that Minister Gogu had given false news regarding this issue, underlining that IBAR has not passed, contrary to what was presented by Gogu.
"Two days ago, before the meeting had even been dissolved, Minister Toni Gogu came out to the conference and announced that IBAR had been approved and had been passed to the Council of Ambassadors. How can, with what impudence, or incompetence, a minister announce news that is not true?"
"To deceive the public. At least three member states out of 27 have had problems with the first group-chapter. Minister Gogu could have waited until Friday...so Minister Gogu who spreads false news, come out and apologize," she said.
Minister of Justice, Toni Gogu, responded by saying that the opposition had political envy.
"I'm sorry that you have contributed to 8,000 charges of stalling progress."
How is it possible that your political envy towards the progress of an entire society, that you are the only social formation that is behind. You are 36 years behind. You are the only formation that does not reflect the progress towards the EU, while Albania is moving forward.
"Make accusations, but I've heard them before. I've heard them when you say; the prime minister can't go to America, Albania can't continue to move forward," he said.
