Note: Ilir Meta has started his own opposition action, essentially the fight against corruption. Many are surprised by this initiative since he is a figure highly accused of corruption and not infrequently caught and with evidence as was the case with Dritan Prifti.

But today, the Special Prosecutor's Office requested 1 year in prison for Etjon Jokë, candidate for LSI deputy in the April 25 elections. He was filmed giving 100 dollars to buy votes in Tirana, but was discovered by a hidden camera and after the wanted announcement he was arrested.

Also, 1 year was requested for Elis Babo, the person who had done the filming and who was given the money by Joka.

Meanwhile, the former deputy candidate himself, through his lawyer, declared that everything was concocted by his political opponents.

Joka's case today, more than his fault, shows the philosophy of Meta's party, and now that it has changed its name, people hardly believe that it will really change.
