The Socialist Party has scored a landslide victory in several important districts of the country, including Berat, where the Socialists currently hold five seats, compared to two for the Democratic Party.

This positive result and improvement compared to 2021, according to candidate for MP Ervin Demo, comes from the positive campaign that the Socialist Party has conducted in the Berat district.

"We were very confident about this result, we have been involved in the campaign for months. Our confidence came from following the campaign, and running a positive campaign, we did not deal with the opponents at all. Clearly, we have achieved a spectacular result starting from Skrapar, Berat is on the trend it has always had as a municipality. We expect an extraordinary improvement in Kuçovë as well, but Dimali has also brought a positive result. The 5 to 2 ratio is a very difficult ratio to achieve because the numbers are very small", Demo said in an interview for Top News.

Demo will now be Berat's MP in Parliament, after his term as mayor of the city. He said that such a positive result makes him even more indebted for what he now has to offer the five municipalities of Berat.

"I belong to the Municipality of Berat and I will belong to it even more. This result makes us feel indebted for what we need to do in the five municipalities," he said.
