The Embassy of the European Union in Tirana has condemned the attacks of the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, against the head of the Special Prosecutor's Office, Altin Dumani.

"Attacks or intimidation against members of the judiciary have no place in democracy. We support the High Prosecution Council's condemnation of the recent inadmissible public statements directed against SPAK.

The European Union stands by Albanian magistrates and professionals engaged in the fight against corruption and organized crime," the EU's response states.

Earlier, Meta's rhetoric was also condemned by the American Embassy in Tirana and the ambassador of Great Britain in our country.
