The British ambassador, Alastair King-Smith, reacted after the accusations of the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, against the head of the Special Prosecutor's Office, Altin Dumani .

King-Smith says the UK supports SPAK's efforts to improve accountability and end impunity.

The reaction of the  British embassy :

British Ambassador Alastair King-Smith reiterated the UK's strong support for the Special Prosecutor's Office of Albania, SPAK, and its vital efforts to improve accountability and end impunity in the interest of all Albanian citizens.

The ambassador confirmed at the joint meeting of SPAK donors, last week, the commitment of the United Kingdom to provide additional assistance and capacity building for the work of SPAK, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the special chief prosecutor, Altin Dumani and The National Crime Agency (NCA), as well as joint investigations with other UK law enforcement agencies.
