Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting this afternoon with the Socialist Party structures in Tirana, regarding the by-elections expected to be held on November 9, 2025.

The meeting took place for about 30 minutes at the premises of Hotel Tirana, with a focus on campaign coordination and the mobilization of political resources in support of the socialist candidate, Ogerta Manastirliu.

This meeting was attended by ministers, Tirana MPs, municipality representatives, as well as former MPs who ran in previous elections in this municipality.

Rama has divided tasks and electoral zones for everyone, including ministers, while the goal is for a deeper difference than the last electoral race, the 2023 local elections.

And while none of those present at the meeting spoke to the media, Socialist MP Erion Braçe gave a coded message via social media.

Taking inspiration from Lea Ypi's new book, Braçe writes that " true freedom is doing the right thing, living rightly."

Further on, it seems that the message is addressed to Prime Minister Edi Rama, while Braçe writes that "it is just as absurd to ask the strong not to express their power, not to experience the desire to reject, oppress, and possess the other, as to ask weakness to express itself as strength."
