NAMES/ The elections for the head of the Democratic Party, the vast majority of
The two candidates for the head of the DP, Lulzim Basha and Gjergji Hani

Only 8 democratic deputies have participated in the elections for the new leader of the DP, where Lulzim Basha and Gjergji Hani are competing.

Only Kreshnik Çollaku, Eralda Bano, Merita Bakiu, Flutura Açka, Orjola Pampuri, Arbi Agalliu, Enkelejd Alibeaj and Selaudin Jakupllari have participated.

All the other deputies of DP, including Gazment Bardhi or Jorida Tabaku, have boycotted this process, considering it as anti-statutory and supported the decision of the National Council of DP to cancel the elections.

The chairman of the Electoral Commission in the Democratic Party, Jemin Gjana, at the end of the official voting schedule, said that until 17:00, about 13,700 members of the DP have voted.

" From the data I saw in the voting centers that I inspected myself, there was an influx of voters. Individuals who had ID cards voted, others were not accepted. It is a relatively high number. Based on the data we collected up to 17:00, after 17:00 there was an increasing flow.

With the data of 17:00, the figure is 13,700, with 54% participation. There were no problems, it was a peaceful voting day ," Gjana said in a statement to the media.

We remind you that PD won 52 deputies in the April 25 elections and is now in a bad situation, due to internal divisions.
