Today, in the municipalities of Elbasan, Kamëz and Vorë, the demonstration of the Electronic Voting and Counting Equipment (PEVN) that will be used in the elections for local government bodies has begun. Voters of these three municipalities will vote through electronic devices.

Commissioner Celibashi and representatives of the CEC were today in the premises where the demonstration is taking place in the city of Elbasan.

"From the point of view of security and guaranteeing the secrecy of the vote, PEVN and PEI devices have 100% security and the secrecy of the vote is guaranteed. The device and the system provide all the guarantees of vote secrecy, neither the CEC nor the company that produced the devices has any possibility to identify the citizen's vote.

The device is very easy to use for all categories of voters. It is a system which, from a technical point of view, facilitates the voting process and citizens will personally consider that the electronic voting process is simple and safe", said commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi.
