During the meeting with compatriots in New York, Prime Minister Edi Rama also received some questions from those present in Gotham Hall.

The head of the government said that the Democratic Party was taken over by "the blackest communists", as he also spoke about Shkodra, which for the first time voted for the SP in the last local elections.

"I like it when they tell me I'm anti-communist and democrat, that's how I was too. But DP was taken from us by the worst communists. I said it is better to join the communists who do not deny where they came from than with those who were the blackest when they were communists. Albania is not divided between communists and democrats. Albania is divided between workers and lazy people, patriots and nationalists who refer to the flag only to hide and the third of those who see Albania beyond conviction. The example of Shkodra is meaningful, for 33 years they maintained that we were communists. Once they gave us the opportunity and you can see how Shkodra has changed ", said Rama.

Asked by Albanian immigrants in America, when the New York-Tirana line will be opened, Rama said that the airport has started negotiations with the American company Delta to start direct flights.

"You know that Albania has the international airport with the largest growth in Europe and currently the airport is negotiating with the American company Delta to start direct flights from New York to Tirana. I don't know when this negotiation will end", said Rama.
