Prime Minister Edi Rama has asked for the vote of Albanians in America for the next parliamentary elections to be held next spring, in the meeting he held with the diaspora at Gotham Hall in New York.

As he described the vote of immigrants as a kept promise of his government, Rama said that he is seeking the fourth mandate with the sole aim of raising the flag of Albania in Brussels as a member of the EU.

"This is a special day that I am here not only as a compatriot or a citizen with the right to vote in Albania, but also as a first-time voter from here in America. I had to try for a long time together with the colleagues of the SP and feel sad during these years when the elections have come, but not your opportunity to choose. Now this is a promise kept to tell you that I want your vote from America to make Albania a member of the EU in 2030. To raise the flag of Skanderbeg and Ismail Qemali in Brussels next to the flags of the European family to which we have historically belonged. Today is the day to make history together ", said Rama.
