The Director General of the National Agency for the Information Society (AKSHI), Mirlinda Karçanaj , has signed an order for the delegation of management powers, at a time when she is under house arrest, under investigation by SPAK, along with the institution's deputy director.

According to the order dated December 18, 2025, Karçanaj has delegated decision-making powers to other leaders of the National Academy of Sciences , including issues related to the administrative direction and functioning of the institution.

The decision enters into force immediately and provides that the delegated powers shall be exercised until the order is repealed.

The delegation of powers comes at a critical moment for the National Agency for Information Security, a strategic institution for the administration of the state's digital systems, as its leaders face security measures and criminal investigations.
