This Saturday, the second national protest is being held on "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard, called by the opposition against the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, left the blue headquarters and, accompanied by the Secretary General of this political force, Flamur Noka, and other democrats, joined the protesters in the square in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
Around 1,350 police officers have been deployed to ensure public order. As part of the plan of measures, the main roads near the center of Tirana have been blocked and the entrance to the Prime Minister's Office has been fortified.
The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has declared that this is the day when citizens "will put Prime Minister Rama on trial," describing the protest as the largest ever held in Tirana.
