Leaders of the Western Balkans and EU member states of the region will be welcomed on Monday evening (21 August) at 20.15 by Kyriakos Mitsotakis at Megaro Maximos for an informal dinner on enlargement and the European future of the region, on the occasion of 20th anniversary of the EU-Western Balkans Summit.

The specific Mitsotakis initiative marks the leading role played by Greece as a pillar of stability, peace and energy security in the Balkans and Southeast Europe and its return to the Balkans from 2019.

The president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the president of the European Council, Charles Michel, responded to the prime minister's invitation. 

The meeting will be attended by: the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovacevski, of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, the President of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borgiana Christo./ Protothema
