Antony Blinken's visit, like that of every American Secretary who has come to Albania before, had two sides of the coin, according to journalist Muhamed Veliu.
In a direct link to "Top Story", Veliu shared the behind-the-scenes of Blinken's eight-hour visit, which he reported today for Top Channel news.
"Even this visit had both sides of the coin. What was declared, the positions held and the unknown side, about which we will learn 3 or 6 months later, what was the real reason why Blinken visited Tirana. When Clinton came to Albania, one of the issues discussed was the housing of the Mujahedin. if at first 200 mujahedin were sheltered, then they all came", he said.
According to the journalist, Albania's assessment of its peacekeeping role remains primary, at a time when Russian influences are present. In the USA, Albania is seen as a factor of stability.
Asked by the author and moderator, Grida Duma, if the journalists had an instruction on the questions they should ask, the journalist said that "it was agreed to ask two questions from Albanian journalists and two questions from American journalists, but we were free to ask the questions ours".
