The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, continued his electoral campaign in Berat where he presented the candidates of the Greater Albania Alliance.

Berisha mocked Prime Minister Edi Rama, more specifically his promise for an island in the Osum River.

He accused the government of not investing in the city.

"Berat, the diamond in the crown of world cultural heritage, has known an impoverishment of its inhabitants in these 12 years, a very undeserved impoverishment, this city, this district. Think for a moment, it seems like it is the city of forbidden times. The city did not recognize, not because it did not recognize investments, but even the university was closed. The university, which gave the city vitality, hope and faith. Berat, which was promised the island of Osumi, the promise of the island was taken by the river. Meanwhile, Edi Rama is left with shame and deception", said Berisha.

Berisha said that the May 11 elections will mark a turning point in eras.

"So, we are moving towards a major decision that every citizen of Berat, of this region and of all of Albania will make on May 11 to say goodbye to an evil that damaged the nation, emptied Albania, and reduced Albanians like no war, no epidemic, no disaster in their entire history," said Berisha.
