Prime Minister Edi Rama has responded to a commentator who tells him that he has made more infrastructure investments in the south.
Rama mentioned to him some of the investments in the north, while adding that there are several other projects that are expected to start. He said that his government has done more for the north than others.
"This one comments on infrastructure. One of the biggest works, the most difficult, but one of the most significant from a financial point of view is the Arbri road. Does this go south or north? It's in the south if we also take Kosovo, and we consider it north. If we stick to Albania for the official map today, it's in the north, it's in the heart, because in fact Dibra is here in the heart. Is the Theth road in the south or north, I say in Albania. The road that goes to Vermosh, in the south or north? The Lura road according to you?
In the south or in the north? Of course, in the north is also the National Road, which was abandoned like all the other roads. In a more advanced stage, I do not deny this, but on which work continues even today. All of them were built by this government, and with the completion of the Lura road, another fantastic destination is touched.
There are other projects for the northern infrastructure. Does the Durrës-Shkodër-Gjakovë-Prishtinë railway go south or north? What about the Thumanë-Milot-Balldren-Muriqan road in the south or north? There are also many other segments that have been invested in the north of Albania, which was fragmented, more fragmented than the south, even at the time when those who loved the north and represented the north were the ones who governed.
Even Tropoja itself was a black hole. Today it is a tourist destination. Don't tell me this nonsense about north and south, because I am also from the north and south by blood, because I was blessed to have a grandmother, a grandmother from Shkodra, and a grandfather from Berat but born and raised in Durrës. And the other grandparents from the coast, but coming from Mirdita," Rama said.
