Sali Berisha has decided to reconvene the National Assembly of the Democratic Party on December 2 of this year.

According to the announcement, Berisha will seek the vote of the Democrats as party leader, after the losses in the May 14 local elections.

It is also said that the agenda will include other items related to the internal developments in the party as well as the situation in Albania, as it is said due to the "anti-social and anti-national policies" of Edi Rama.

"After consultation with the forums, the Presidency of the Democratic Party at the meeting of October 9, 2023, decided to convene the National Assembly of the Democratic Party on December 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Palace of Congresses.

During this Extraordinary Assembly for the fate of DP, the opposition and society, under the conditions of a government that has seized all the powers, based on the Democratic Party's charter, the vote of confidence of the party's chairman will take place.
