Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the Assembly of the Socialist Party, returned to the case of Fredi Beleri, repeating that it is exclusively a matter of justice, while he also had a message for the "Albanian speakers" who are listening to the Greeks.
"Whenever it comes to the activity of these bodies and especially SPAK, so sorry for the inconvenience that follows, look carefully at what is being discussed between us and Greece, or what the Greek side is asking from us, from the government , from me personally.
Why does this happen and how is it possible? As they say, our political will must solve, as they think, an issue for which these new bodies of justice have taken their actions and made their decisions independently of us, and they do. I do not want to repeat what I have said publicly on the matter. We have no real debate with the Greek side about the essence of the matter. I started here because this approach of the Greek side actually shows that the new upside-down relationship of our political power with justice is going through a very strong test.
Our approach is radically new in the history of political power in Albania. To not interfere with the work of the justice bodies, but to support and encourage them unconditionally in their aggressive activity against corruption, organized crime if yes, is an approach that falls against the terrible inertia of a 111-year history. For 111 years, that history has taught people from generation to generation to think that political power pulls the judiciary by the nose.
In fact, according to this old lesson, the latter (the prime minister) whistles the penalty for breaking the law and, according to the team's interest and his own interest, takes the penalty himself. As for the people, the state, the citizen, there is no problem because according to this old teaching inherited in the minds of people and many here from generation to generation, they deserve the beautiful words, about equality, democracy, independent justice and so on, blah blah blah
In short, the lesson is do as we say, but don't do as we do. This is what those who blow in the ears of the Greek neighbors from far and near think, be it politicians from the pulpit of dignity, or minority microphones, analysts with red eyes or a sharp pencil, legal experts with the voice in the pocket, or drunkards with the homeland in the glass and undisputed and declared and undeclared lawyers of a person arrested in flagrante delicto for buying votes who have also taken over the Facebook page where they post his letters from the cell on their account. This is a unique innovation in the history of detention in Albania and they write that he feels like a lion's claw" , said Rama.
