Journalist Baton Haxhiu has stated that the Socialist Party for Integration is not enough for the incumbent president until July 24, Ilir Meta.
Haxhiu has argued that after leaving the Presidency, Meta will seek reorganization of small parties and for the first time we can have an opposition binomial consisting of Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta.
"As far as I know Meta, the first proof is not enough for the SMI. He will demand the reorganization of small parties. Meta has never led the opposition and for the first time we can have an opposition binomial, which consists of Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta. Meta can be at the height of an opposition leader only if he brings small parties together, only with the SMI is not enough. There are plenty of parties that want a shelter and there is no one to give it to. All these small parties do not seem to cause problems, but they can lose votes in local elections in a ruthless way.
Ilir Meta will hold the post of president until the end of the presidential term, on July 24, a task which will be taken by Bajram Begaj, the new president of the country elected 2 days ago in Parliament with 78 votes in favor, 4 against and 1 abstention ", said Haxhiu in Opinion.
