Defense Minister Pirro Vengu received his Slovak counterpart Robert Kalinak today. Vengu said that the discussions focused on the possibility of cooperation between the two countries.
He appreciates Slovakia's role in NATO, saying that cooperation with our country would be a guarantee for the security and stability of the region.
This meeting comes shortly after Albania, Croatia and Kosovo signed a cooperation agreement in the field of defense, with the possibility of expanding it with the participation of other countries in the region.

Vengu's message:
A valued ally at the NATO table, and a steadfast supporter of our EU membership, Slovakia is valued for the important contribution it makes to collective security.
It was a pleasure to meet today at the Ministry of Defense and discuss with my Slovak counterpart, Robert Kaliňák, with whom we focused mainly on the possibilities of cooperation between our two countries in the field of revitalizing the military industry.
Important cooperation not only for Albania, but also for the security and stability of the region, where Slovakia increasingly has a goodwill approach towards the Albanian factor.
Thank you Robert.
