The head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, describes the government as a threat to the independence of the justice system after voting against the arrest of Belinda Balluku. Bardhi says that the majority's votes are only intended to protect Edi Rama from justice, whom they consider a party to Belinda Balluku.

" From today, Edi Rama's majority is officially a threat to the independence of Albania's justice system and European integration.

They voted today against SPAK for a single reason: to protect Edi Rama and to set a red line for the judiciary on how far it is allowed to investigate.

For 10 years, Edi Rama told Albanians and international partners that no one is above the law, but today he proved the opposite.

Therefore, Albania's problem is not the lack of evidence for Belinda Balluku's corruption. The problem is a prime minister who obstructs justice for a swift and uninfluenced investigation by the government.

"European integration is measured by the way corruption in power is treated and by the way institutions act to protect the law. Today Edi Rama gave the worst possible response: he defended corruption and declared justice guilty ," said Bardhi.
