The new Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, visited the city of Shkodra today, accompanied by the head of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku.

During the meeting with local police leaders in Shkodër, Balla requested that there be no tolerance towards the cultivation of narcotics, constructions without permission in urban and tourist areas.

"The work to attack criminal groups in Shkodër should be intensified", Balla declared, among other things.

"Today during the meeting with the leadership structures of the Shkodër Local Police Directorate. The police must take all the necessary measures for the success of the tourist season, intensify the work to attack criminal groups in Shkodër and clean the Alps from the cultivation of narcotics. We also need an even greater attention to the phenomenon of constructions in urban and touristic centers. There should be no tolerance", says Minister Balla in a post on social networks.

It is learned that after Shkodra, Balla and Rrumbullaku started another meeting with local police leaders in Lezhë.

Shkodra is considered one of the main cities with high criminal activity, shaken in recent years by a series of serious events of a mafia nature.
