The former chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, continued today with his tour of meetings with the democrats in the framework of the elections for the new chairman of this political force.

During his speech with supporters, Basha asked SPAK to attack corruption and crime at the highest levels. He has called for the investigation of all the concession contracts signed by Rama's government, as well as for the investigation of the assets of every person involved, from the simplest lawyer to the prime minister.

Basha's message:

The end of impunity for corruption and crime at the highest levels is the only real beginning of Albania's change.

The simplest way to investigate a case where it is suspected that a figure, in this case a politician, is involved in corrupt affairs, follow the money. Watch what you spend. Look at his properties and those of his family.

Follow the money but also the links to crime is the essence of the vetting of politicians. Only in this way will Albanians be shown who is clean and who is not.

The Ahmetaj file, which showed how the government acted as a criminal organization, showed once again that a radical legal package is needed against government crime and corruption, removing all obstacles and giving unconditional support to SPAK, starting with:

Investigating fraud with contracts and public funds;

Investigation without any exception of concessionary contracts;

Investigating the assets of anyone involved in drafting, approving and benefiting from concession contracts, from the simple lawyer to the prime minister;

The money that was stolen from Albanians and ended up in bank accounts, or was invested anywhere in the world, must be returned to Albanians.
