The American Embassy in Tirana has made an open call to qualified magistrates to apply and serve in the institutions of the Supreme Judicial Council, as well as the Supreme Council of Prosecutors, a few days before the deadline for applications.
September 4 is the deadline to apply for all qualified magistrates who want to serve in the HCJ or KLP.
The American Embassy in Tirana calls on the magistrates not to miss this opportunity, stressing that it is a very important moment for Albanian justice.
"This is an important moment for the justice system in Albania to ensure continuous progress and the preservation of the defining principles of justice reform. Do not miss the opportunity to contribute to a justice reform that is effective, transparent and fair - on behalf of your fellow magistrates and Albanian citizens", the appeal to the Embassy states.
A week ago, the People's Advocate, Erinda Ballanca, today officially revealed the list of candidates who have applied to be part of the High Judicial Council and the High Prosecution Council.
The three major groups of applicants include those coming from the field of advocacy, civil society, as well as members of the Civil Society Commission.
They will carry out the preliminary verification of candidacies for the member representing civil society in the High Judicial Council and the High Prosecution Council.
Despite the published list, it is emphasized in the announcement of the People's Advocate that there may be additional names, which can be attached to the applicants, if they have sent their application within the deadline set according to the regulation.
