Prime Minister Edi Rama  has said that he will not resign following the arrest of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj, stating that "it should be forgotten" .

During the conversation with citizens in the "Eye to Eye" column, Rama stated that "there are two ways to remove me from politics, either my heart removes me if it doesn't beat fast enough and that's where I say stop, or the people of Albania remove me."
