The criminal amnesty goes to the Parliament for a vote today, will the majority

The Criminal Amnesty seems to have once again remained hostage to the 84 votes needed to approve it in the Assembly. In today's plenary session, the criminal amnesty was also included in the agenda, but while it seemed that the parties were reaching a consensus to approve it, the DP declared yesterday the vote against it.

Not even the Re-establishment will vote in favor, while they will continue with the scenario of blocking the session. On the other hand, Basha declared the day before that they will not participate in the session.

An amendment by the socialist deputy, Plarent Ndreca, relator of the draft law, led the chief democrat Lulzim Basha to accuse the SP of trying to save corrupt officials.

Yes, the SP says that it is a question of reducing the sentence by 1 year for men and 1 and a half years for women and minors, even for those who have been sentenced by GJKKO, who were previously excluded from the beneficiaries. However, Minister Manja did not close the door to discussions, saying that they are open to finding a consensus.

Meanwhile, a DP proposal has also divided the parties. Enkelejd Alibeaj has proposed pardoning opposition protesters from October 1, 2018 to December 31, 2020. Socialists partially accepted Alibeaj's proposals to amnesty the protesters but not those accused of destroying property and opposing the state police.

Most likely, the criminal amnesty will not be approved even today, causing it to be postponed for another session, until a common consensus is found between the parties.
