Agron Shehaj: Who is hiding behind the contract with the offshore company in the

The Deputy of the Democratic Party, Agron Shehaj, has stated that the PD will enter the local election race to win. Shehaj made the comments during an interview for News 24, where he said that the "Primaries" were a very good and necessary process.

At the same time, he accused political opponents of not holding elections at all within their party. For Shehaj, the most essential problem in Albania is corruption, which he said he will try to fight until the end.

Shehaj also mentioned a contract, which he described as corrupt, with an offshore company in the Netherlands, for which he said that the only reason why it could be signed was if Prime Minister Rama was behind it.

The MP added that Rama's goal is to divert attention from this essence, that is, from corruption, through swearing and the language he uses in the Assembly.

"A few days ago, SPAK announced that the owner of Tirana's Incinerator was wanted for corruption. Meanwhile, the government continues to pay this gentleman, in just one month this gentleman has received about 1 million euros from the municipality of Tirana. The only reason a government has signed a corrupt contract with an offshore entity in the Netherlands and continues to pay it, there is only one reason, if the prime minister is behind it. That was the point I raised.

Our political opponents do not make choices at all. We did the "Primaries". They were not perfect, but I am convinced that the other "Primaries" will be better. We enter the race to win. I believe we will win. The essence of the problem in Albania is corruption. This is the issue we need to work on. If before they abused using offshore companies, now they get the tenders themselves in the name of their family members. Therefore, I will continue to try to fight corruption. For how long he will do politics, I will deal with the essence of the problem. Rama seeks to avoid the essence, through swearing and insults, but I will stay to the end of the essence.
