Today marks the 101st anniversary of the official establishment of diplomatic relations between Albania and the United States of America.

Immediately after the end of the Peace Conference in Paris, where US President Wilson supported Albania in its independence and sovereignty, the establishment of diplomatic relations was marked.

"Last year, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations, we celebrated the close friendship between our two nations, emphasizing the strong strategic alliance between the United States and Albania. US President Joe Biden sent a special message of hope for continued cooperation and for an even brighter future for the Albanian people. For many more years of friendship and cooperation," says the embassy announcement.
