A new moon is discovered in the solar system.
It has a diameter of about 10 km and orbits the planet Uranus.
The moon was observed and discovered thanks to the James Webb Space Telescope and has received the provisional name S/2025-U1, but it could soon be named after a character from Shakespeare's works, as has been done with the planet's 28 other natural satellites.
Uranus is one of the least known planets in the Solar System, and its close observation was only carried out in 1986 by NASA's Voyager 2 probe, during a flyby at a distance of 80,000 km.

Uranus' new moon has an orbit of 56,000 km, a characteristic that makes scientists think it formed precisely in its current position.
