After reaching the south pole of the moon, the first images were published in a video posted on Twitter.

The Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft managed to land on the Moon's South Pole, with the rover exploring an area no other rover has reached so far, foreign media reported.

After reaching the south pole of the Moon, the first images have been released in a video posted on Twitter by ISRO, where the spacecraft can be seen touching the surface of the Moon for the first time and leaving the field of view of the Earth.

This was India's second attempt to send its spacecraft to the Moon and the successful landing came less than a week after Russia's Luna-25 mission failed.
