The "triangle of death" is a danger zone on your face where you should never press pimples, as the consequences can be serious.
Includes the mouth, nose and the small space between the eyes.
According to an article published in the journal Men's Health, squeezing pimples in this area causes more than a few marks.
"All veins below the triangle of death can lead to the cavernous sinus, which is located in the brain," the article states.
Joshua Zeichner, a dermatologist in New York says that a pimple squeezed with dirty hands can cause infection, which can penetrate the blood reaching the sinus or all other organs of the body.
Although it may seem absurd to you that squeezing a pimple can infect the brain, the chances of this happening are not zero.
If an infection reaches the brain, blood clots can form which can be life threatening.
