Tragedy in the USA / Famous singer-songwriter loses his life along with his

Renowned American singer-songwriter Brett James has died in a plane crash in North Carolina, along with his partner Melody Carole Wilson and her daughter Meryl Maxwell Wilson, 28.

According to authorities, the small Cirrus SR22T plane they were traveling in crashed Thursday afternoon near the town of Franklin, at around 3 p.m., near Iotla Valley Elementary School. Fortunately, no one at the school was injured.

Brett James, 57, was one of Nashville's most successful songwriters, writing songs for big names in music, including Taylor Swift. He leaves behind four grown children from his previous marriage to Sandra Cornelius.

James and Melody lived together in a luxury villa in Nashville and often shared moments from their travels on social media.

Just a day before the tragedy, Melody had wished her daughter a happy 28th birthday with a touching message on social media:

“Happy birthday, my love! How blessed I am to be your mother. You are a beautiful being inside and out. Thank God for the gift that is you.”

Meanwhile, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched investigations into the causes of the plane crash.
