On an area of 6 hectares, in the former military area of Farka in Tirana, the country will have a fair center. "Expo Business Albania" will be a space dedicated to events, fairs, concerts and meetings, as well as an accommodation structure, as it is planned to build 3 or 4 star hotels.
"It will be the most important center of fairs and exhibitions in the Balkans and will put Albania on the map of a rapidly growing industry: that of fairs and exhibitions. The industry of fairs and exhibitions today represents a market worth tens of billions of euros and about 35 thousand events per year, which is growing rapidly, even three times more than five years ago", said Blendi Gonxhja, Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation.
Minister Gonxhja also told about the formula by which the state properties will be given to the private in exchange for the official for the public administration.
"Numerous AIC projects, including the mega project to provide a new and dignified environment for 22 institutions and over 10 thousand administration employees, enjoy full support from our Ministry. MEKI will continue to promote the transformation of abandoned areas into development centers through public-private partnerships and will support the selection of suitable partners through successful international competitions."
From the dedicated "Expo Business Albania" conference, Minister Gonxhja said that by the end of the year, 13 million foreign vacationers are expected to visit the country.
