New challenge: Dubai will build the tallest residential building in the world
Dubai will build the tallest residential building in the world

Although the Burj Khalifa is already the tallest building in the world, Dubai is planning to build a new taller and more luxurious residential skyscraper.

Burj Khalifa, as the tallest building in the world, is 830 meters high, contains a hotel, offices and luxury apartments, while the tallest residential building is the Central Park Tower in New York (470 m).

Binghatti, a company based in the United Arab Emirates, will build the new tallest tower in partnership with Jacobs & Co, a jewelry manufacturer, The Times points out.

"The proposed project comprises more than 100 floors consisting of luxury two- and three-bedroom residences," the company said.

As they declare, the building will have staff at their service who will offer services such as kindergarten, bodyguard, driver or private cook for the owners of the apartments. Also, the building will have a private club with an infinity pool and a large lounge.

Binghatti says the five crown jewel penthouses at the top of the tower will be "the most luxurious and exclusive" in Dubai, with an opening date for the building yet to be announced.

Dubai's luxury real estate market has seen uneven development over the past 15 years, and Dubai's future as an international hub became moot during the pandemic as airlines grounded most traffic, but other world developments have seen the city boom again.
