A mother was surprised to discover she was pregnant with two sets of twins at the same time - a phenomenon doctors say is a '1 in 10 million' case.
Ashley Ness, 35, from Taunton, Massachusetts, lives with her 8-year-old daughter Chanel, partner Val, 47, his two youngest sons, Isaish, 10, and Zayden, 7. Now, the family will they are joined by 4 other children.
Before having her first child, Ness had 4 miscarriages, so for her "every child is a blessing".
"Tests revealed she had four babies in two placental sacs, which indicated two sets of identical twins — something Dr. Ahmet Baschat, professor in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Johns Hopkins, said was rare 'as 1 to 10 million'.
Baschat added: "It's a high-risk pregnancy. We see a lot of rare things, but this is the first time I'm hearing this in my entire career."
Friends have now set up a GoFundMe to help "financially support unexpected miracles." They have so far raised $12,300 of the $15,000 goal.
