On Monday evening, journalist Alma Çupi made an inappropriate statement during the discussion on the show "Opinion".

While listing her dissatisfaction with tourism in Albania, especially during this season in the south of the country, the journalist of " Albanian History " said:

"Every country in the world has a private beach, a public beach, a private beach... you can't force me to have the public beach there... like the Jews".

This statement has affected and outraged the Roma and Egyptian community, so Çupi was then forced to apologize for the language he used.

"I apologize publicly and distance myself from the use of a word that openly prejudices and affects the dignity of the people of the Roma and Egyptian community. It was not intended to insult or discriminate. As a journalist, I have promoted every community for the values ​​they have brought to tourism, especially the Roma and Egyptian community", she wrote in a second reaction on social networks.

The journalist also tagged the Commissioner for Protection against Discrimination in her post.

But her statement has not been well received by another well-known showbiz personality. Rike Roçi reacted strongly, demanding that such racist expressions should stop.

"People who pretend to be cultured and in reality are still ignorant. Lots of offensive, discriminatory and racist expressions... they are not normal expressions. Don't look for her on Instagram because she closed it out of shame... The lady journalist of history... That when you go outside Albania you say they don't love us, they are racist for us Albanians, while you are the first to discriminate... there is no race, but there are people", Rikja wrote in one of her posts on social networks.
