A young man in Cyprus appeared in Limassol Court with a suitcase containing 15,500 two, five and ten cent coins to pay a €500 fine he received for driving without a license or insurance.
Cypriot newspaper Phileleftheros published the news on Wednesday showing the suitcase full of coins the young man had with him.

The clerk of court refused to accept the payment, telling the boy that he would have to go to a bank and convert them into notes so he could pay the fine.
After that, the boy told the newspaper that it is unacceptable that the authorities do not accept the payment of the fine in coins.
