Durrsak nights with Redon Makashi and Alban Kamenica

It all started at the "Trajani" bar, the newest bar on the commercial street of Durrës, when the clocks had passed 9:00 p.m., on this first evening of July. A simple invitation to me by the musician Alban Kamenica and two friends Pol Milo, writer and musicologist, and Griseld Hoxha, mediator and photographer, turned into a full album of songs sung by the singer-songwriter Redon Makashi and who moved the hands of the clock on those at 12:00 p.m.

Bar "Trajani" was full. And why is this bar on the edge of this boulevard called "Trajani"? I don't know but maybe it could be a revocation from the first century AD…but really it is, a revocation! Trajan, the emperor of Rome in the first century AD, had a passion for reconstructing the architecture of the city of Rome, and the Durrsak amphitheater... and the bar "Trajani" has only been reconstructed for a month. A perfect fit with the wonderful almost 100-year-old architecture of this boulevard.  

    Redon Makashi is a very popular singer and songwriter in the pop and pop-rock genre. Redon Makashi composes his first song in the 8-year-old school and to enter the world of songs composed and sung by him, in 1989, he is presented for the first time on television, specifically on Albanian Radio Television with the song "Years most beautiful" and to come in June 2021, where Redon Makashi participates in the Nights of the Albanian clip 2021 with the song "Më mohove (Remake)".

A night with a high temperature outside, but with freshness and a high tempo of music that vibrated between pop-rock and metal. Redon Makashi, perfectly accompanied by music professional and singer Alban Kamenica, sang not only his wonderful songs but also those of the "Three Musketeers" Aleksandër Gjoka, Elton Deda and the protagonist of this evening, Redon Makashi. 

The arrival of Redon in the bar "Trajan" definitely has the connection with the name "Redon" .." Cape of Redon"...entered the Illyrian protector of travelers and sailors...which resembles the mysterious Hermes.

That's why coming to Durrës this evening was motivated. But it also happens differently when they come to Durrës from Tirana and celebrate the "festival of the sea" for the second time when this holiday was celebrated the day before by the people of Durrës themselves under the umbrella of the Association "Durrësi Autochthon"?!

Redon the singer, accompanied by maestro Alban Kamenica and dozens of people from Durrës who filled the surroundings of the "Trajani" bar, was in sync with Durrës, absolutely in sync with the voice and endless intonations of Redon's music, he was well-known but also close to his songs already have become a tradition in the original Durrës holidays. From time to time, among the rhythms of pop-rock, it felt powerful to the dizzying strength of the heavy metal current.

After the concert, authors, writers, musicians and reporters began to discuss creativity and creative inspiration. - Music and literature share the power of creation and inspiration - said the author from Durrës Pol Milo, presenting his latest book to both musicians.

- I am surprised that today there are still people who write and publish books like they used to - said Redoni while holding the book "Meet us in Purgatory".

- How nice that we met here! Durrës has always inspired and conveyed the creative spirit. I have composed two songs in Durrës, "The Last Station" and "Dhimbje lë pas", - Redon Makashi continued the discussion.

Together with the writer Pol Milo, they brought to mind the former beach of Durrës, hotel Butrintin, where Redoni with his guitar came from Tirana to the beach and sang his songs and songs of the Beatles group.

- I have always been inspired by the Beatles, who influenced an early part of my creativity with their music - said Redoni.

While the Durrës book "Let's meet in Purgator", which originally recalled stories like "Let's meet at Durrës Beach", tonight under the rhythm of rock music, welcomes one more space on the boulevard, which will now become "Let's meet at Bar Trajan" and that will definitely evolve in the future, like everything in music and literature of the time. Meanwhile, I would like to emphasize in this article that the connection of Redon Makashi's songs with their lyrics is almost alchemical, bringing the lyrics with a pure Albanian in acrobatic alternation with the rhythms of pop-rock or simple good Albanian music.
