Ben Affleck  and Jennifer Lopez will file for divorce.

The couple's marriage appears to be heading for the end, after a last-ditch attempt at reconciliation in recent weeks failed. 

The couple's divorce papers have been finalized but not yet filed, sources told the Daily Mail.

The actor bought a new $20.5 million Palisades mansion on July 24, the day his wife turned 55.

Friends of the actress  claimed that Affleck's purchase of the mansion on her birthday was a 'stab in the heart' for JLo.

"They finalized the divorce papers a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to file them," a source close to the couple claimed.

"They will release a joint statement where they will say that they have a lot of love for each other and how they fought to be together but didn't make it.

Honestly, in the end they couldn't reach a compromise. What they had before is gone and both have accepted it," claimed another source.

The pair were last photographed together on March 30. The actors have  spent the summer apart, Jennifer mostly on the east coast, while Ben remains at home in Los Angeles.

They even spent their second wedding anniversary on July 16 in different cities.

Affleck and Lopez's marital problems became public when the actor moved into a rented house and decided to sell their house.

Affleck and Lopez  married in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022.  They said "I do" in a more lavish ceremony a month later in Georgia.
